Proceeds from Day-long Music Festival in Pioneer Square to Benefit the Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund

PORTLAND, OR - September 28, 2001 - On Sunday, October 7, over ten thousand Oregonians will come together in Pioneer Square to commemorate and celebrate the individuals whose lives were lost and forever changed as a result of the September 11 attack on America. There will also be addresses by notable governmental and community leaders, including Portland City Commissioner Jim Francesconi, a representative from the Red Cross and others. The event will be open to the public, with a suggested minimum donation of five dollars.
